If you are like me and pretty much every other American, you have probably spent at least some time over the course of your life trying to figure out how to lose weight quickly. For the majority of us, we have had it ingrained into our brains that  the only how to lose weight quickly and keep it off is to diet and do 30-60 minutes of cardio exercise at least 5 days a week.

Let’s be honest though, how many of us out there actual enjoy getting on that treadmill, stair stepper, or elliptical machine day in and day out? If we go back to a time before the invention of the modern day gym filled with cardio machines, all of the most healthy and physically fit people spent their time to build muscle with a weight lifting program.
